Button Rock Bakery Secretary: This position ensures Guests with initial impressions of Button Rock Bakery & Kenny Lou's Deli

Button Rock Bakery, one of Colorado's leading wedding cake providers, seeks a skilled and passionate Bakery Wedding Coordinator and Receptionist to join our team. As the point of contact for wedding clients, you will ensure a seamless experience from initial consultations to a memorable wedding day. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 per hour + tips and benefits.

Responsibilities:
Wedding Liaison:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for wedding clients, responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, and guiding them through the wedding cake selection process.

  •  Conduct in-person or virtual consultations to understand clients' vision, discuss design options, and provide expert advice on cake flavors, fillings, and decorations.

  •  Collaborate with the bakery team to create customized wedding cake designs that meet client's expectations and preferences.

  • Coordinate tastings and cake samplings to showcase our delicious offerings and assist clients in making informed decisions.

Receptionist:

  • Greet customers, both in person and over the phone, with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.

  • Manage appointment scheduling, maintain an organized calendar, and confirm appointments to optimize efficiency.

  • Handle incoming inquiries via phone, email, or in person, addressing customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining client records, processing orders, and managing payments accurately.

  •  Accurately process orders and payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions for custom orders, weddings, and wholesale accounts

Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a bakery or wedding-related industry, is highly desirable. Familiarity with wedding cake design and trends is a plus.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively interact with clients, understand their requirements, and convey information to the bakery team.
Organization and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage appointments, track client preferences, and ensure accurate order processing. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards.
Customer-Focused Approach: A friendly, courteous, and customer-oriented attitude is vital in delivering exceptional service to wedding clients and creating a positive experience.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate and work closely with the bakery team, including cake decorators and bakers, to translate client's preferences into stunning wedding cake creations.
Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings to accommodate client appointments and wedding events.

Job Description:
Ensures an unrivaled experience through the best combination of food and service.

  •  Acts as ambassador, greeting clients with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while coordinating merchandise sales, and responding to telephones and emails.

  •  Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance, takes prompt corrective action where necessary, or suggests alternative courses of action.

  • Prepares for the shift by ensuring the area is stocked with supplies: menus, tasting materials (sets up the tastings for the day) menus for the FOH, delivery organization, etc.

  •  Reviews the cleanliness and organization of wedding contracts, orders, pending orders, and email boxes.

  • Checks for restocking of necessary supplies.

  • Brings all areas up to standard.

  • Discusses problem areas with the Manager on duty to anticipate solutions.

  • Maintains a positive attitude and fosters a positive working attitude amongst the various departments,

  • Notifies the Manager of any Guest perceived as unhappy or files a complaint promptly and responsively.

  • Assists other Team Members as needed or as business dictates

  • Manages flow from emails to active orders.

  • Delivers timely responses to email inquiries as well as phone calls.

  • Must be friendly and able to smile frequently.

  • Restaurant, retail, or cashier experience is preferred but not required.

  • The employee must communicate effectively with multiple Guests while generating enthusiasm for Button Rock Bakery.

  •  Is dressed per dress guidelines, always looking neat, clean, and professional.

  • Must articulate clear greetings and proper etiquette for emails and phone calls.

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds

  • Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours a day.

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
